Markdown Catch keeps as little about you as it can.
Your email address, for sign-in and alerts. The line items from receipts you add: date, warehouse, item numbers, descriptions, quantities and prices. Your settings.
We never store membership numbers or card digits. Receipt photos and PDFs are read and then discarded; only the line items are kept. We never ask for your Costco password.
Item prices (item number, warehouse, price, date) are shared anonymously with other members so everyone knows where things are cheapest. They are never linked to you.
Receipts are read by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, through its API. We do not sell your data or show ads.
Delete any receipt from the Receipts tab, or delete your whole account from Settings. Deletion is immediate.
